2011-2012 MusicAlliance Practice-A-Thon

Summary: Band students get per-minute donations (or flat donations) for the amount of time that they practice their instrument at home during the 3 week period that the Practice-A-Thon is held. The Practice-A-Thon is a fun and beneficial event for students as they compete with other band members from their own school and from other schools, while at the same time, helping them to become better musicians as they learn their new 2nd semester music, and the money raised helps MusicAlliance to keep future band tuition costs under control and to realize our goals of:

• continuing to be able to provide band programs for parochial schools through northeast Ohio for years to come
• keeping band tuition below the actual cost of the administering the program
• being able to offer a multi-child discount to families with more than one child enrolled in our band program
• creating a yearly band scholarship/financial assistance fund for families in need of financial aid
