MusicAlliance provides band instruction to elementary, middle school, and junior high school students in Northeast Ohio through full-time and part-time teaching positions. Parents who enroll their children in our programs pay band tuition to MusicAlliance. Tuition collection is handled by our office; teachers do not collect tuition. A typical teaching day consists of one or two band rehearsals with the remainder spent giving small group instrument lessons (2 to 8 students per group).
We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, creative, and energetic professionals who are certified/licensed to teach instrumental music and who have a passion for sharing the gift of music with young people. To be considered for an instrumental music teaching position, please download our employment application (it is a Microsoft Word file) by clicking here. Then type your responses into the application form, and when you have completed the form, save a copy of it and email that copy to the MusicAlliance office at the email address shown on the form (our email address can also be found at the bottom of this webpage). Also be sure to email us a copy of your resume.
In addition to emailing your resume and employment application, we will also need for you to either email or snail mail your college transcripts, a copy of your teaching license/certification, and 3 letters of recommendation to us.
